    Main Oil and Gas event in Latin America, Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference is held every two years in Riocentro Convention Center, Rio de Janeiro. Since its first edition, in 1982, the fair and conference has been cooperating to consolidate Rio de Janeiro as the “oil capital”, once the State concentrates 80% of all oil produced in the country, in addition to 50% of gas production.

With the total volume of Wind Power hired in 2013, the Wind Power will contribute to generate over 70 thousand jobs, R$ 21.2 billion in investments, 8.5 million houses supplied and 4 million tons of CO2 avoided, according to data provided by ABEEólica.

    The Government of the State of Espírito Santo, through ASPE - Energy Public Services Agency from the State of Espírito Santo, held the 2nd Energy State Week themed “Efficiency and Energy Safety” from June 09 to 11, 2014, in order to discuss and promote the energy industry.

    The Cycle of Lectures included people from the energy industry to discuss contemporary issues such as: “Brazilian Energy Safety: Planning and Expansion of the Power offer” and “Renewable Energies”.

    Getúlio Vargas Foundation, through the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) and FGV Energia, held the 4th Seminar about the Brazilian Matrix and Energetic Safety on June 2, 2014, with the presence of the main sector leaders.

    The event is one of the main current forums to debate and broadly disclose the energy matter in Brazil, having national and international repercussions. In this year’s edition, we have deepened the discussions about Energy Planning and Safety and future perspectives for the sector.
