FGV Energia and Light sign the technical cooperation agreement
FGV Energia, in partnership with the Center for Behavioral Research from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration Companies of Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV/EBAPE), signed a technical cooperation agreement with Light, in order to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze “Light Legal” project activities.
Also called “Zero Loss Area” (APZ), “Light Legal” project is being implemented by Light since 2013 and intends to reduce and eliminate revenue losses in areas with high rates of non-technical losses and default, by hiring small companies called “apzistas”.
Among other goals, the partnership between Light and FGV will seek to identify factors determining the success/failure of an APZ by analyzing structural and behavioral features of “apzistas” and consumers in APZ operation region, as well as testing the potential impact of “Light Legal” project in other spheres. Such analyses will be converted into strategic information and may help Light during its decision-making process.
This partnership will also enable researchers and master’s and doctor’s degree students linked to FGV Energia and the Center for Behavioral Research of FGV/EBAPE to develop thesis for the Master’s Degree, thesis for Doctorate Degree and scientific articles based on such data, with the purpose of being published in national and international publications. Results of researches arising from this technical cooperation will be presented in an internal event, and electronically disclosed in FGV Energia and EBAPE websites.
