Rio de Janeiro has two airports: Santos Dumont Airport, which is the closest to FGV Energia, and Rio de Janeiro International Airport (Tom Jobim/Galeão).
Santos Dumont Airport: "The airport mainly operates air-bridge flights, flights originating within the State of Rio de Janeiro, and regional flights connecting the country's main capitals. Santos Dumont Airport's privileged location, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, allows quick access to the main hotels and tourist attractions. Taxi companies and several bus lines serving various parts of Rio de Janeiro are nearby." The trip takes around fifteen minutes. Route: Avenida General Justo, Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, Avenida Rui Barbosa, Avenida Oswaldo Cruz, Praia de Botafogo.
An alternative would be to take the Real company's executive bus, Line 2018 – Airport - Alvorada (via the South Zone waterfront and the bus terminal). The buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, and run from 5:40 am to 10:35 pm, with a 20-minute interval. This line connects the International Airport and Santos Dumont Airport. There is a bus stop in front of Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Rio de Janeiro International Airport/Galeão - Antonio Carlos (Tom) Jobim: "Located just 20 km from downtown Rio de Janeiro, it is served by several expressways, such as Linha Vermelha, Linha Amarela, and Avenida Brasil, which makes it easy to travel to different parts of the city, in the South, North, and West Zones alike. The urban transport system offers taxis and special bus lines connecting Galeão to various destinations, including the city's other airport."
There are several taxi options, operating 24 hours a day, with stands located in the arrival areas of the various passenger terminals. The trip to FGV takes around forty minutes. Route: Estrada do Galeão, Linha Vermelha, Av. Francisco Bicalho, Av. Presidente Vargas, Túnel Santa Bárbara, Rua Pinheiro Machado, Praia de Botafogo.
