    On December 10, FGV Energia launched the Energy and Sustainability Booklet at Getúlio Vargas Foundation’s headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro. FGV Energia and Catavento consulting developed the content in partnership, and made efforts to promote a new look at the dilemmas faced by the power industry in Brazil.

    FGV Energia Natural Gas Booklet presents the main issues of the Brazilian industry of natural gas, raised by several sector agents during interviews.
    This event gave rise to the next steps towards deepening discussions about the challenges raised by creating a work group to propose policies aiming to develop the sector.

    In this third reviewed and extended edition, the work “Brazil’s energy” has a new chapter named “Destructuring the power industry - Brazil 2007-2014”. The author outlines a detailed profile of transformations occurred in the Brazilian power sector in the last few years, and also makes comments on the guidelines of the current energy policy and its consequences.
