More than 90 UFRJ Nuclear Engineering students worked on this theme for 3 months and were invited to create a communication campaign or a stakeholders engagement plan to increase awareness and public acceptance of the construction of new nuclear plants.
The purpose of the competition was to gather these students on a crucial theme for the development of the nuclear program.
Four finalist teams will be chosen by an international jury comprised by industry experts. Teams will defend their projects during the final stage, which shall take place on the award ceremony day. The winning team shall have the opportunity to travel to France and visit nuclear facilities, meet with French experts and enjoy the French hospitality for a week.
Participation in the final stage and awards hand out ceremony will be a great opportunity to see the creativity of Brazilian students and find out innovative concepts, thus being able to promote a better understanding of the importance of nuclear power in the Brazilian energy matrix.
You are invited to be part of this ceremony. EDF and AREVA representatives, as well as the main representatives of the Brazilian nuclear industry interested in encouraging young people to pursue a career in the nuclear field will also be there.
