    On December 10, FGV Energia launched the Energy and Sustainability Booklet at Getúlio Vargas Foundation’s headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro. FGV Energia and Catavento consulting developed the content in partnership, and made efforts to promote a new look at the dilemmas faced by the power industry in Brazil.

    FGV Energia Natural Gas Booklet presents the main issues of the Brazilian industry of natural gas, raised by several sector agents during interviews.
    This event gave rise to the next steps towards deepening discussions about the challenges raised by creating a work group to propose policies aiming to develop the sector.

    Getúlio Vargation and Lexikos Foundan publishing house invite you for the launching of the 3rd edition of the book “Brazil’s Energy”

    In this third reviewed and extended edition, the work “Brazil’s energy” has a new chapter named “Destructuring the power industry - Brazil 2007-2014”. The author outlines a detailed profile of transformations occurred in the Brazilian power sector in the last few years, and also makes comments on the guidelines of the current energy policy and its consequences.

    Getúlio Vargas Foundation, through the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) and FGV Energia, held the 4th Seminar about the Brazilian Matrix and Energetic Safety on June 2, 2014, with the presence of the main sector leaders.

    The event is one of the main current forums to debate and broadly disclose the energy matter in Brazil, having national and international repercussions. In this year’s edition, we have deepened the discussions about Energy Planning and Safety and future perspectives for the sector.

    On May 12, FGV Energia received Furnas President, Flávio Decat, for a meeting to strengthen the relationship between both institutions and discuss the outlook of the power industry in Brazil.

    The President of FGV, professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal; the engineer, executive secretary of Science and Technology from 1995 to 1998 and member of FGV Board of Directors, Lindolpho Dias; the director of FGV Energia, Carlos Otávio Quintella, and Luiz Roberto Bezerra, from FGV Energia attended this meeting.
