Energy in Focus – Bernardo Gradin – September 28th
President of GranBio is invited to lecture on cellulosic ethanol
On 28 September, FGV Energia promoted a lecture with Bernardo Gradin, president of GranBio, on September, 28th, at 6:00p.m., another edition of the series of lectures "Energy in Focus - Strategies and Challenges for the Future", which will focus on "Reality of Cellulosic Ethanol - A Brazilian Case of Innovation ". During the meeting, Bernardo Gradin talked about his vision in the energy sector based on his experiences in the market.
Bernardo Gradin is a civil engineer from the Federal University of Bahia's Polytechnic School (UFBA), an MBA from The Warton School of Business and a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the Odebrecht group until 2010, where he was president of Braskem. In 2011, he founded Granbio, a company dedicated to the manufacture of second generation biofuels and biochemicals. In addition, he is an entrepreneur in the areas of Industrial Biotechnology, Oil and Gas and Logistics and member of the Councils of Abiquim, MEI-CNI, CNPEM and the Community of Chemicals and Materials of WEF.
Since 2014, FGV Energia has promoted the series of lectures "Energy in Focus", with professionals from the top management of the energy sector. The objective is to discuss the political, economic and technological challenges for its development in Brazil.
The event will happen at the headquarters of FGV, located at Praia de Botafogo, 190, 12th floor auditorium, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
