Ph.D. in economics participates in FGV Energia event
FGV Energia promoted a lecture with Kenneth B. Medlock III, Ph.D. in economics from Rice University, on November 29th at 2:30 p.m., in another edition of the lecture series "Energy in Focus - Strategies and Challenges for the Future ", the theme which was" Perspectives for Brazil's insertion in a future natural gas international market "(Perspectivas da inserção brasileira no futuro mercado internacional de gás natural). During the meeting, Kenneth B. Medlock spoke about his vision in the energy field based on his research in the areas of energy and economy.
Kenneth B. Medlock III is director of the Master's Program in Energy Economics, is an adjunct professor in the Department of Economics and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and is chair of the advisory council of the Energy and Environment Initiative at Rice University. It acts as one of the main responsible for the development of the World Natural Gas Trade Model, which aims to evaluate the future of the international trade of natural gas. In May 2000 he received his Ph.D. in economics from Rice University.
Since 2014, FGV Energia has promoted the series of lectures "Energy in Focus", with professionals from the top management of the energy sector. The objective is to discuss the political, economic and technological challenges for its development in Brazil.
The event happened at the headquarters of FGV, located at Botafogo Beach, 190, on the 12th floor, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
