On 6th December, FGV Energia promoted a lecture with Luiz Fernando Leone Vianna, Director General of Itaipu Binacional, in another edition os the series of lectures "Energy in Focus - Strategies and Challenges for the Future", whose theme was " The Importance of Itaipu for Brazil and Paraguay". During the meeting, Luiz Fernando will speak about his experience in the hydropower generation market.

Luiz Fernando Leone Vianna holds a degree in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering, both from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and has a specialization in Hydropower. In addition to the General Director of Itaipu Binacional, for the 2017-2022 term, he is an Adviser of ONS (National Operator of the Electric System), adviser to the Environment Forum of the Electric Sector (FMASE), founding member of the Forum of Associations of the Electric Sector Brazilian and advisory advisor of FGV Energia.

Since 2014, FGV Energia has promoted the series of lectures "Energy in Focus", with professionals from the top management of the energy sector. The objective is to discuss the political, economic and technological challenges for its development in Brazil.

A partnership between FGV Energia and Itaipu Binacional will bring, for the first time in the city of Rio de Janeiro, TWIZY, 100% electric car of Renault. It will ride the streets of the city in a demonstration of efficiency of the brand's newest car. The vehicle is exposed at the FGV from 5 pm to 6 pm.

The event happened at the headquarters of the FGV, located at Botafogo Beach, 190, on the 12th floor, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
