President of Eletrobras spoke about directions of the energy sector at FGV
On July 27, at FGV Cultural Center, FGV Energia received the president of Eletrobras, Wilson Ferreira Junior, to talk about their perspectives with an emphasis on the strategies and challenges that the company sees in the directions of the energy sector in Brazil and in the world and its contribution in this context. The event is part of the series of lectures "Energy in Focus - Strategy and Challenges for the Future".
President of Eletrobras since July 2016, Wilson Ferreira Junior is an electrical engineer and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University, and a Master's degree in Energy from USP. Throughout his career, he served as distribution director of Companhia Energética de São Paulo (CESP), president of Rio-Grande Energia (RGE), president of the Board of Directors of Bandeirante Energia SA, and president of CPFL Paulista and CPFL Energia. He also presided over the Brazilian Association of Electric Power Distributors (Abradee) and the Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Basic Industries (Abdib).
Since 2014, FGV Energia has been conducting a series of lectures with professionals from the top management of the sector, with the objective of discussing the political, economic and technological challenges for its development in Brazil.
