Launching of FGV Energia Oil Booklet
FGV Energia, in partnership with Accenture, has been working in the diagnosis of the main barriers to the harmonious development of the Brazilian oil industry.
The result of this work is consolidated in the Oil Booklet, with matters we consider critical for the industry to be able to provide, in addition to oil, positive ramifications for the entire Economy, such as the generation of more jobs and resources to the country.
Despite the importance of situational variables, our work has emphasized structural problems making a deeper discussion that may serve as a platform for an evolving debate about the sector. Thus, in addition to the current situation of low oil prices, restricted investments from Petrobras and deteriorated macroeconomic environment, themes as industrial politics and local content tools, role of the oil and gas industry institutions, sharing scheme, single operator law, schedule of blocks bidding rounds, unitization and environmental licensing are addressed more deeply. Always within the domestic context and with an economic view.
The launching event took place on October 22 at Getúlio Vargas Foundation’s headquarters, and the main issues addressed in the publication were presented followed by a debate with the presence of Mr. Andre Olinto – Senior Vice-President - Schlumberger Business Consulting, Mr. José Gutman - Director – ANP, Mr. Gelson Serva - Director – EPE, Mr. Jorge Camargo - President – IBP, and Mr. Bruno Musso - Superintendent – ONIP.
