FGV Energia realized a panel discussion on "Climate Issues and Impacts on Energy Business"
On April 19, FGV Energia realized a roundtable on the theme "Climate Issues and Impacts in Energy Business", in Rio de Janeiro, to discuss the main climatic phenomena and Impacts on energy resources in Brazil.
Given that climate phenomena directly affect the availability of energy resources, their better understanding promotes better decision making and mitigation of risks.
The event addressed the following guiding question: "Given the risks and uncertainties associated with climate issues, how are decision makers planning in the electric and biofuel sectors?”
The event began with an exposition on the main mapped climatic phenomena and their impacts on energy resources in Brazil. Subsequently, there was a discussion table on the decision making in the face of these phenomena, dealing with the repercussions and impacts in the electric and biofuels sector.
