    Getúlio Vargas Foundation, through FGV Energia and FGV/IBRE, held the 5th Seminar about Matrix and Energetic Safety on August 17, 2015, from 9AM to 4PM with the presence of the main sector leaders.

    The event is one of the main current forums to debate and broadly disclose the energy matter in Brazil, having national and international repercussions.

    In 2015 edition, we have deepened the discussions about Energy Planning and Safety and future perspectives for the sector.

    FGV Energia receives the president of Neoenergia Group

    The main issues related to the sectors of generation, transmission and distribution stood out during Neoenergia Group’s president, Solange Ribeiro, lecture in another edition of the seminar Energy in Focus promoted by FGV Energia, on June 25. The meeting had the purpose of discussing political, economic and technological challenges to be overcome to develop this area in the country.

    FGV Energia promoted a debate on the energy scenario in Brazil within the Long-Term Energy Plan scope (PNE 2050) on June 11.

    Mr. Amílcar Guerreiro, director of the Energy Research Company (EPE), participated in the debate and briefly talked about the challenges faced by long-term energy planning in Brazil.

    “The future of nuclear power in Brazil and the world” was the theme of the lecture delivered on April 29 by the technical advisor of Eletronuclear Board of Planning, Management and Environment, Roberto Travassos, invited by FGV Energia for another edition of the lectures program called Energy in Focus. At the time, Travassos addressed themes as the phases of nuclear power development; how will nuclear reactors be like in the future; and energy planning and expansion of this source.
