Ph.D. in Economics from the Graduate School of Economics of Fundação Getulio Vargas (EPGE/FGV). Was General Coordinator of Public Services and Infrastructure at the Secretariat of Economic Monitoring of the Ministry of Finance between 2001 and 2002. Also worked as a researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) of FGV for 12 years. He currently works as a consultant, Adjunct Professor at FCE/UERJ, and teaches several courses at FGV. He has published numerous articles - in academic journals and in the press - on topics related to industrial organization, regulation, economic development, innovation, and industrial policy.
