Reive Barros

Electrical engineer Reive Barros served as Secretary of Energy Planning and Development at the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). Barros graduated from the Polytechnic School of Pernambuco, holds a Master's in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), with a research focus on Electric Power Transmission Project Management, and is a Specialist in Strategic Administration. The former SPE secretary has 36 years of professional experience, with a career built at major electric power sector companies in the distribution and transmission area. Before serving as SPE secretary at the MME, he headed the presidency of Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE) and was a Director at ANEEL. He currently holds the position of Engineering Director at CHESF.
